Blood sampling/urine sampling in children
Recently we offer the possibility to take blood tests and/or urine samples in our practice.
Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and children can come to us for these concerns.
If a light local pain relief seems necessary for a blood test, you can get Emla cream at the pharmacy. You apply this about an hour before your appointment in both arm folds or on both hands (depending on the age of your child) and then cover with household film/plastic wrap or a sticker.
The doctor (paediatrician, general practitioner, ...) will give you a lab form that you must take with you on the day of the test.
