First aid for babies and infants
With babies and small children at home you need eyes on your back. No matter how safe we play or how secure our home is, an accident happens quickly. Rapid and appropriate response is thus important and can save lives.
But what is the best thing to do when your baby has a burn? Or chokes on food? Staying calm and responding efficiently are the keys to success. The first aid course and lifesaving actions in babies and infants can help you being prepared.
What do you learn during the workshop?
You will learn basic skills to intervene in the correct way and to administer first aid. The workshop will elaborate first aid for choking, burns, drowning, poisoning, seizures and learn you resuscitate a baby or small child.
After the theoretical sessions you will practise CPR and other first aid techniques on dummies in small groups.
This workshop is crucial for parents or persons such as grandma, grandpa, aunt or babysitter who might care for young children.
This workshop is also certified by Kind en Gezin, and may be eligible for continuing education for childcare workers.
The workshop costs €25 per person.
Comfortable clothes are recommended to practice with the dummies.
